Two Upcoming Young Professionals in Transportation Events

April Happy Hour with Penn Design UrbTrans

We’ll be holding our April Happy Hour with Penn Design UrbTrans on Thursday, April 16th at 5:30pm at Smokin’ Betty’s (11th and Sansom). This will be a great networking opportunity for students, academics, and practitioners in transportation.

You can register for the event and learn more here!

Second Annual Transpo Roundup

We’re pleased to announce that YPT Philly will be hosting the Transpo Roundup again this year! The event will be Tuesday April 28th at Field House (1150 Filbert), beginning at 5:30pm.

What’s the Transpo Roundup?

We’re bringing together our members to present and discuss their current transportation projects from around the Philadelphia region, and around the world. Whether it’s a project we might have seen in the news, or something that you’ve been working on quietly, we want to know what’s got you excited about transportation!

How do I attend?

All members and friends are welcome to attend! You can use this page to register for the event – and your registration includes a ticket for your first drink! Registration is $4 for members and $8 for non-members.

Also, if you’re interested in becoming a YPT member, you can join as a member ($20 annual) using the registration page and your registration for the Roundup is free!

Are you interested in presenting one of your projects?

Excellent! We’re looking for any transportation project of yours that you’re excited about and want to share! Priority will go to projects local to the Philadelphia region, but we’re open to interesting ideas from around the country and world.

We are planning on quick, 5-minute presentations with time for a few question. Props, handouts, slides are entirely up to you – but we will be equipped to project on a screen if you want. We’re hoping for about 10 presenters from as many disciplines as possible!

Send us your pitch by April 10th to yptphilly@gmail.com. You don’t have to be a member to present, but members will get priority if there’s too much demand. We’ll advertise the list of presenters and event registration during the second week of April, and all are welcome to attend and hear the presentations!
