Environmental Planning Manager
Salary Range: $ 51,000 -60,582 Annually
Manages projects, contracts, work schedules and work flow necessary to carry out the Department’s day to day Work Program activities. Oversees preparation of mandated plans pertaining to stormwater management, sewage facilities planning and solid waste management as well as the preparation of State mandated reviews including sewage facilities planning modules and contributes to subdivision and land development plan reviews. Coordinates PA Coastal Zone Management Program activities, rivers conservation, natural heritage protection, scenic byways, floodplain and wetlands protection and stormwater activities. Prepares environmental components of municipal comprehensive plans and provides technical expertise to the public, private agencies and municipal officials.
Master’s degree in planning, urban studies, environmental science, geography, public administration, or related field plus six (6) years of progressively responsible experience; bachelor’s degree in planning, public administration, or related field plus (8) years of progressively responsible experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, including at least two (2) years in applicable activity area. Demonstrated written, oral, and graphic communication skills required. Supervisory experience and AICP certification desirable.
