With the growth of e-commerce and next day delivery, expectations of instant gratification are changing freight and logistics. Dense downtown areas with smaller streets, competing vehicles, and increasing residential populations present their own challenges for meeting new demands.
Join DVRPC on July 15th from 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM for a full day of discussion, networking, and sharing solutions that suit your downtown delivery needs, no matter the size of your town.
The Old City District, in its role as a special services district and Registered Community Organization, is embarking on the development of a neighborhood master plan to set a framework for private development and a high-quality public realm.
Together with more objective research on market trends, transportation access, and the physical form of buildings and sidewalks, we wanted to get direct input from Old City residents, businesses, workers, and visitors about what makes the neighborhood great and not so great, plus what would make it a little better, or even a little worse. This brief survey should only take about five minutes to complete. Please encourage your friends, family, and coworkers to participate.

Big projects such as the new Comcast Innovation Center to Drexel’s ambitious plans for University City are reshaping the skyline while smaller interventions such as Sister Cities Park and Schuylkill Banks are making the city livable.
