Join us on Friday, June 16th at 6:00p at Cockatoo for our second annual Pride happy hour, an event for LGBTQ+ landscape architects, architects, planners, and allied professionals in the Philadelphia region. Let’s start conversations, build community, and celebrate Pride within our fields!

The event is free and open to LGBTQ+ individuals and allies that work in the built environment (bring your friends and colleagues)! Attendees will receive a free drink ticket.

The event is 21+ and is sponsored by OLIN, WRT, the American Society of Landscape Architects Pennsylvania Delaware Chapter, and the American Planning Association Pennsylvania Chapter Southeast Section.

WHAT: Please join the American Planning Association for an evening of networking (bring your business cards!), along with four sessions of small-group mentoring that allows APA members to share their stories while allowing students to ask questions about how to be successful in the field. Additionally, the APA PA SE Council will be presenting awards to the winners of their annual student competition.

The APAPA-SE Events Committee will be hosting one more virtual event before the start of the summer season – and it’s going to be a game night! Join your fellow APAPA-SE planners for a night of Jackbox Games, like Quiplash and Patently Stupid. All you need is a Zoom connection and your phone to play – no admission cost or entry fees. Prizes will be awarded to some of the game winners!

We’re bringing it back! The February edition of APAPA-SE “happy office hour” was a success, so the APAPA-SE Events Committee is hosting it once again in March. Join us (virtually) from 5 PM to 6 PM on Thursday, March 25. We provide the breakout rooms on Zoom, while you provide the conversation ideas! This event is perfect for casual chats, socializing, and maybe a little planning talk…or no planning talk at all, if you so desire.

Come for a bit and stay for as long as you’d like – celebrate the beginning of spring and the hopeful end of a pandemic. While we can’t quite meet in person just yet, feel free to network and catch up with old friends virtually and safely.
