Can the Suburbs Compete for Millennials?
A presentation and expert panel with
Maureen McAvey, Kevin Gillen, Eric Goldstein, and Tony Maras.

Millennials are driving new housing and commercial activity in big cities. Twenty somethings want density, walkability, mixed uses, and transit. So far, Millennials aren’t enthusiastic homeowners or car owners.  Given this, can the suburbs really compete for the biggest generation yet?

To crack this riddle, we have a top panel of experts:

  • Maureen McAvey, Senior Resident Fellow at Urban Land Institute, Washington, D.C. (Keynote Speaker)
  • Kevin Gillen, Chief Economist, Meyers Research
  • Eric Goldstein, Exec. Dir., King of Prussia BID
  • Tony Maras, Area President, K. Hovnanian Homes

Our event will be in walkable downtown Media Borough, Delaware County!  Take the train or trolley to Sterling Pig Brewery, Media’s new microbrewery in the new West End District.  Our reception will include pitchers of the Sterling Pig’s award winning beer and BBQ.
